Default trying to get a good sound, but not loud or cheap

I just recently traded my 05 civic in for a new 08 civic and its completly stock. Im so used to modifying everything on my old cars, its hard not to mess with this one, Im wanting to change sound a little bit, the car has a 1.8L i-vtech sohc engine so I want an exhaust where im able to hear the vtech kick in (because I love that sound) but not too loud or cheap and buzzy sounding either. I need some suggestions..

thanks

Theres not going to be too much mods for it with it being as new as it is. Probably none for 2-3 years. Because it takes time to develop them.

^+1 your car is very new. Mods for it barely exist now.

I dont think that vtec has an engagement point. I think its on throughout the whole powerband.
