I was driving the last evening on the highway when i went to pass this car. It was a blackout out Honda that was really nice and clean. It was in the right lane and i was in the left and i went past him and automatically he sped up and got his rear bumper even with my front bumper. Anyways, this isnt a race story, i didnt race him or even pay attention to him, but i did notice it was an Accord with a little V6 badge next to it. What year Accord has a V6, and what engine is it? Is it possible to swap that thing into my car? Never heard of a V6 Honda before (but i am young and fairly new to this stuff)

 

i know the 03-05's have a v6 in it, im not sure about the engine, i beleive its an SOHC i-vtech, not sure about the engine number

 

ya im pretty sure ever year since at least 2000 or maybe ven 1998 there has been a V6 model of the accord. it only comes in the EX V6 model i think

 

ya but they don't come in just V6 you can get 4 or step up to the EX V6

I almost bought a '97 accord ex 5sp sedan with the v6 when I bought my civic, but it had like 70k miles on it all ready for the same cost as the 56k mile civic

 

V6 Accord, the new ones are nice. I've been in my friend's and it's pretty good

 

theyre prtty fast for a ULEV

 

so the J series....never heard of it. Any numbers on the horses? And why arent they a common swap? Seems likes people would want the power of a V6 over the little 4 banger...
