what does the vtec solenoid do, i know without it vtec would not kick in but why is that, also the head i am buying does not include the vtec solenoid, so where can i buy a solenoid?

 

If I am not wrong, they solenoid engages the vtec cam locker thingy. Very technical I know. Look HERE. That will explain it.

 

vtec solenoids are pretty pricey, so unless the head is like 50 bucks it's not worth it.

 

Are you buying a head that is supost to have vtec but doesn't have the solenoid with it or are you buying a non-vtec head and trying to put a solenoid on it?

im buying a head that is already vtec but doesnt have the solenoid........ i found both of thes and ebay and both come with solenoids, which one is better and whats this stage 3 ported and polished head about..... will it fit on my d15 block just like the regular head??? also should i buy it from this seller only accepts money order..... no paypal=(

not as fast or reliable, but still EVERYTHING i've ever ordered for my car (even my body kit) has been though a money order,they're not that bad. (sorry i dont have more info about the solenoid though [&:])
