can someone please tell me were the head code is for the d16 because i have a dx block but i think i have a vtech head but i cant find the code but i see a vtec cylinoid on the motor and a couple more vtech clues but were can i find the head code to know if its a vtec because the block is a dx block.

 

what year car/engine is it,

 

its a 96 d16y7 blcok and that is a non vtec so how do i have a vtec solenoid and a vtec valve cover?did he change the head? or he just screwed da vtec valve cover on the d16y7 and screwed a vtec solenoid on? because i just bought the car and he said its vtec but he took the p28 out and i see it has a d16y7 block but it has the solenoid the vtec valve cover and i seen a couple vtec wires? so do u think its vtec? someone help me

ok there is the picture i took it from the side so u can see the solenoid now can someone tell me if its a vtec head or if he just change the valve cover n put a solenoid there.
