A private party is selling it for $8,000 obo. I had it checked out and found out that the damage was in the back and the engine was not affected. I was told the quarter panels that were replaced are failing because there are chips in the paint and they will probably need to be replaced in a year or two for around $1,000. I know the resale value is bad but I plan to keep it until the end. I've looked around and everyone selling the same car is asking $10,000 to $12,000 from private party and $12,000 to $14,000 from dealers. I want to know what other people think it is really worth.

yea could have frame damage
and "until the end" for a Honda is a looooooooooooong time
but for $6k i might think about it if it doesnt have any other damage

 

nah if it has a r-title then they go even harder on you with inspection, so if it has a legal inspection, then there is no frame damage, but just to be sure, ask the seller if they will pay for a new inspection by YOUR machanic, that way you know its good. if they have nothing to worry about then they shouldnt mind loosing 40 bucks off the selling price.

 

I would run away as fast as I can. Salvage car are not worth anything to me.

 

for 8k you can get a really bad *** 96-00 civic

i suggest looking for a different car,
