Hey guys. I posted a thread ealier but it didn't get too many replies. I just wanted to know what would be a good civic to buy?

Heres what im looking to get out of it

-97+
-Semi-fast or at least upgradeable.
and all the other good stuf that comes with civics like reliablility and great gas mileage.


Also, i dont want to spend more than about 6-7 grand

And SI's are very rare around here......

Well i just wanted to know info on like what engines are good to work on and are capable of putting a turbo on ect ect

97-2000 civic si if you can find one upgradeable and they look very nice look hard for one

Honda only made the SI for that generation in 99-00. The other models I find are pretty good to upgrade. From what I hear look for an LX to do Turbo.

 

I have an 06 SI that I will sell you but I think that is lil more than what you want to pay.

'96-'00 are the years for the 6th generation.

I'd look for an EX sedan. Then you get the luxury options and about 20 more HP with VTEC, while getting similar mileage to the LX and DX.

 

^ the sedan doesnt have more hp than the coupe does it? and wont it weighing more just cancel out the extra hp because if they do give it more hp it would be much
