a whole lot of show and no go, plus they pull up to a light rev a stock 1.5 with an exhaust trying to race u, thats rice to me. non rice is a clean looking, fast, well put together import. one thing about vw guys not much rice on their end. someone said it best its a mentality.

Show and no go doesnt really matter IMO like sfazngiants has a stock hx with super clean mods done to his car and its an awesome car, great on gas and looks great.

Every make and model car has its ricers..... just civics and hondas in general are cheap cars so teens usually get a hold of em.

yea i think a civic with just a intake, nice drop, nice wheels and tint, is far from rice. now start putting f1 wings, and giant air dams, hood scoops, and dual exhaust on a 4cyl with a intake, now thats rice. you are right i see it with cavaliers and neons all the time, i just dont see it as much in the vw scene. vw are everywhere out this way. good clean hondas are far and few between

It depends on who you're talking to. Some people would say anyone who is into modding asian cars period is a ricer. They eat a lot of rice in those countries so that's where the term originated. People used to say rice burner. Other's would say that any cars with over the top, ugly, just for show, etc mods qualify as ricers.

If you want to get technical, then rice is any asian car. That's usually the definition domestic fanbois mean when they use the term. However, it's being asked on a honda forum, so the definition would be the one that's been described in this thread.
