Besides the wheels what are other differences? I don't see too many HX's and I have a chance to buy a bunch of parts off of one. Does it have power steering, is the interior different? Thanx, Phil

 

engine & transmission

The HX uses the D16Y5, which is a vtec-e motor

it is designed for high fuel economy, and as such, comes with a different gearing set for the 5 speed transmission, and rather than a traditional automatic transmission, a continuously variable automatic.

interior, body, pretty much everything else should be the same as any other coupe (DX or EX), with the exception of the exhaust perhaps, though I believe the HX/LX/DX share the same exhaust setup even though they don't share the same engines

so in other words.... stuff on the engine may or may not be the same, stuff with the transmission definitely won't, and stuff inside/outside should be

 

Thanks that helps. I'mjust trying to find out if I can strip entire P/S system (if it even has it)and bolt it up directly to my car.

Yeah, I can't stand manual steering. It drives me insane.

 

DX also doesn't come with an a/c.

 

and dx doesnt have power door locks, or power windows, or a tach

 

Noneed forA/C, don't need to weaken that little motor any more. And my DX came withpower door locks and a tach.

 

You make it sound like a lawn mower.....unless you're looking to run the a/c down the strip its great to have in the summer......not to mention you don't always have to run it.

 

Power steering robs more power than A/C. And that's running 24/7.
