Default what does a cold air intake do

is it easy to install? i was checkin out some on ebay...and i hear a lot of people have them can someone explain

i know its a dumb question sorry

they are very easy to install actually. Common sense will be pretty useful. Other than that and a few tools, you should be good. It is supposed to help you gain hp, which in all reality, you may get 1 or 2, but you will notice better throttle response

A screwdriver will do the trick :-) Remove the OEM ice box and drop that puppy in with worm clamps, sinch it down and fire it up!

is there any DIY with pics? i just get kinda nervous since i have never done this before...does it matter that i have an auto?

Actuallly for a cold air intake you have to take off the bumper. But its very easy, im pretty sure theres instructions on this site

if your completly new, i would recommend a short ram intake, almost identical gains and dont need to take the bumper off

I would recommend a K&N Induction Kit.

Exactly what car do you have? I'd be happy to find the right kit and instructions for you.

ya if your to scared about doing much work on your car i also recomend going with a short ram intake SRI.....

they are also alittle better around realy wet areas because cold air intakes can water lock the motor if the filters are submerged in water..... but a short ram intake has the filter higher so less likely to hydrolock and damage the motor...
