What happened?

What happened?
I was hooking up this strobe light to my car and removed the negative battery terminal. Now I know that when you get a new performance mod you should discontect your battery to reset the ecu. And I have done that every time. But when I started the car back up and drove, I could hear a rush of air from my intake and maybe header that I haven't heard in a while. Plus I felt a little more power. I reset the ecu when I got the intake. Why did it perform better when I did it again later?

RE: What happened?
your car re-maps when you unplug the power for a period of time. it takes about 500 or so miles to record all the new info, and then saves. it will adjust the fuel, timing, etc. to the new parameters. a great thing to do when you bolt on a new part because most "performance" parts take away stock restrictions.
