Default What the hell happened?

96 CivicDX A week ago I replaced passenger side axle. Original was really torn up but still in one piece. Now, there is a constant hesitation when letting out clutch. Sometimes some lurching and the need for more gas. Feels like I'm driving with the brake on. ?? Axle turns nice and doesn't have any play in it. Clutch pulls hard and doesn't feel like it's slipping. What am I missing?

Put the car on stands and check whether any of the brakes are locked up, especially the rear ones that can freeze up in the winter.

It's probably a different problem unrelated to the axle.

Drive a few miles without using the brakes much, then park and feel all the wheels. If one is unusually hot, it is dragging.

Default Thanks to all for responding

I did put car up on stands and no drag on wheels/brakes.
Decided to tune up engine and after new plugs, air filter, and adding a bottle of gas treatment.....the problem stopped.
I wunder if I had a tank full of crappy gas? Got it at a small place that may not turn over the supply very often?
Things are better and thank you for your suggestions and help.
