I don't think you will be able to find a 99 si for under 5k. If your looking for civics with some pep try to get EX or SI models. If I were you I would save up one more grand. With 6k you should be able to find a decent ride with less than 150,000 miles.

you could probably get a decent 92-95 hatch for 5K or even less...depends where you wanna go with it...

if you wanna swap get one with high milage for cheep then spend money on a new engine

there are a lot of civics with salvage titles just for being stollen and returned..

thats what i would get.

I agree, 92-95 hatchbacks look good, and are reliable. Go for a Si hatchback, or a Ex coupe. 5spd of course!!!

If you get lucky and with patience you might get a 99-00 Si for about 6 grand.

I got my 00 Si almost 3 yrs ago for $8,000 with title change and taxes..CAsh money. I hate payments. With only 43,225 miles on it. It came with aem adjustable cams and no other mods. It's currently hitting the 57,000 mark

i paid 2k for a 92 hatch w/ 149k on the body and 100k on the motor w/ a salvage title. buy from an individual not one of those small private dealerships, they will charge wayyyy too much.
