Default What to look for...

I'm about to start looking for another car. I want sporty, loaded aftermarket, reliable and (somewhat) economical. Honda Civic is a definite candidate!

I'm looking at models ranging from about 2000-2004ish...so what should I be looking for in a car. I'm pretty sure Vtec is on that list...

if you want something in that year range you are looking at two different generations....
you have the 00 si which has a b16a2 and is a really great car, and then you have the ep3 which is the 01-04 si and it has a ***** version of the k20...
the ex and below 7th gens have the d17, which is in my opinion...poop....

Thanks for the quick reply. If I'm scouring used car lots and personal vehicles for sale, how will I know that it has a b16a2...or does every '00 si have that engine?

Any other suggestions?

you have a sixth gen, not quite as crappy as the d17 in my opinion. Be careful getting an si, most of the 2000 ones have really been ragged on.

I've found a couple of CRX's that are on my list. One is an '89 CRX DX2 and the other is a '91 CRX si. Both are in my price range...what do you guys think of these cars...
