Default what to look at when buying an used honda civic 6th gen

Hello

So I'm thinking about buying my first car and I want to buy a honda civic 6th gen 1.4i or 1.4iS.
Is there anything that I have to look at to make sure that I'm buying a good one?
All tips are welcome!

Thanks
Nicky

yeah thats what goes wrong with civics there usually driven by teens that use scary cheap mods for the suspension and engine beat it to hell then return it to a stock looking car for sale. the mods are so cheap most people won't bother removing them like lowering springs camber kits.

when it comes to suspension components using cheap no name chinese parts is potentially fatal considering these parts keep you safely on the road when your doing 75 on the highway. look for brightly colored parts there usually the calling card for cheap crap.
