my civic si w/ intake, header, exhaust, chip, flywheel, short throw, stage 3 clutch or a automatic jetta 2.5T (2007) a guy at my work wants to race me so bad, everytime we are driving home he tries to show off. i mean don't get me wrong i think his car has good performance but common i don't like to line up on someone i know i can beat for sure... thats a waist of jailtime if you ask me... what do you guys think??? does he have a chance???

I wasn't aware that there was a 2.5t, thought it was either 2.0t or 2.5.

If its the 2.5 you should take him, provided your "chip" isn't actually hindering your performance

2.0t will give you a good run. It's only 200hp, and its fairly heavy, but an N/A Si isn't exactly a performance monster

Best thing to do would be to hit the track and find out

with very few mods a 2.0T Jetta can be very quick. Let him think he's faster. At the end of the race, what good does it do either one of you?

that's great...now you can sleep better knowing your car beat a Jetta. At least you didn't get a reckless driving ticket and lose your license or much worse... great...
