ok guys heres the deal im 17 and ive been working for a year nad a half and i bought my 92 civic, my plan was to go all out with performance and appearance, i am planning to get a paint job with a urethane body kit being put on and i have my heart set on it, but now ive been thinking its 92 civic, the car is old and although it still runs ok ive confused on what i should do, should i invest money in my car and make myself happy or just drive it to get from point a to point b??

 

If the body is fine and does not have rust and if you live in an area where they do not put solt on the roads, your car will last you as long as you want it to.

If it has rust and there is salt, it's just a question of a few years before it starts falling apart and you really can't domuch to stop it

 

well i live i nnew york and they do put salt on the roads, howveer i dont notice any rust on my car besides under my hood their is some, but i dont know its a 92 civic 4dr with 110k, wut do u guys think i should do

 

only 110k? dang my 2000 has 111k. well im sure the car has potential and if its still in good shape, i say go for it. ( if u like the car )...if u dont, i say sell it, invest some more money and get a 96-00 civic coupe. ( of course, preferibly the 99-00si -

Post some pics. Try to get some of the rust spots too.

 

Don't let other people's opinions affect what you want to do to your car. It's your car not theirs'.

 

swap a new moter. That way you save money and get good performance.

 

For a couple of years if it's rusted. Not worth the effort and money IMO...
