hmmm. i think i am leaning more towards the 99-00. butttt how do you know it is a si-r? i have heard about them. but i dont know how to look for one to buy. help would be appreciated, thanks-
SiR's are canadian Si's... the 99 and 00 Civic Si are the exact same car, not even paint colors are different. Probably the best idea is to stay away from Canadian cars (I still don't get why they're named differently) and just get a 99-00 USDM (United States Domestic Market) Si.

or you can swap a B16 to any civic and call it an Si, or even better, swap in a k20 and call it a type R, i've seen ppl do that

I know this post is kinda old..but as an Si owner, I felt compelled to give my two cents. The 99-00 US Si have the same 160hp stock. I did read on the sticky on this section for the generations that the 2000 came with different paint colors, but I cant say for sure. If that is what you are interested in, look around. Id recommend them to anyone. Like they said, the 99-00 SiR was the Canadian equivelant Si.

O and if youre in Cali, let me know cause Ive been considering selling my Si. However I might have a problem with it right now..
