I got my '95 hatchback for $800 (with a clogged radiator, warped head, and blown head-gasket of course). The body and everything else is in great shape otherwise.

Although with the new seal kit, having the head resurfaced along with a valve job, a new radiator, and only 190,000 miles on the ticker, it's just broke in. Seriously, less than 1mm ring ridge in all cylinders with good compression checks. I'm gonna drive this thing til it falls apart.

Although, I don't think you'll get as lucky as I did. Good luck though!
