3000 if you find someone like chrismag, who will buy anything if it has an H on it

2500 if you lie about problems and find a dumb buyer who doesnt check things.

1800-2000 if your honest.

it all depends on how much it's worth to an individual buyer and how much you want to get rid of it.

i'd check the local listings first and compare to other sellers' prices and go from there.

I honestly thought I'd only be able to get around $500 or so. I've been quoted $2300-2700 by two different tranny places to have it rebuilt and $2100 to buy a rebuilt one and have them swapped out. Is getting just a used one for a couple hundred bucks the way to go? I don't want to sell it because I absolutely love this car, but with all the money I've put into it already, I can't afford to put anymore into it.

Dude buy that trany from kanarjjl and have a shop install it (or a good/cheap mechanic friend). The instillation fee would be the only thing that ud have to pay on their end and since you wont have to buy an outrageously overpriced trany that theyd buy so ud be paying a hella lot less than $2thousandsomethin which is what you were quoted. Then decide if you want to sell it or keep it. That oil leak is proly a gasket (sp) somewhere. Shouldnt take a mechanic that long to find that problem while hes doing the trany work (he'll have the motor pulled for the swap anyway). And if it is a gasket thats something thats cheap to fix and you might be able to install it depending onwhat it is but it sounds like u'll have to have amechanic do that since it appears to be a problem with the main seal u said.

Throw up on CL and I bet you can sell it for over $2000. Someone will buy it
