on my last civic it ran fine, then i put some 17 inch rims on and as soon as i hit 60 the car wobbled so much i was scared of going that fast........well i found out like three of the rims were bent. I got them balanced out and it helped a little bit.

I have the same problem with my 17's. It gets really bad around 60 and 70, but then upwards from 70 it smooths out a little. I got the tires balanced and everything, but I think it was ultimately a bent rim.

ive got 17's on and when i got new all season tires they balanced em. But before that i had 2-directional tires and i guess one of them was worn in bad so i had a little shake, but mostly shake when i braked

Before you start spending a lot of money to stop the shakes, you need to narrowdown the possible causes. Is this a problem that you gradually noticed, or is it something thatappeared suddenly? Does it seem like it's coming from a specific area of the car? (steering, brakes, steering and brakes, etc) Are there any unusual noises? Have the tires been rotated regularly? Have the tires been recently balanced? Are the lugs properly torqued? Does changing the air pressure (front, rear, or all 4)change the vibe at all? If you jack up a wheel and spin it, is there noticeable "wobble"? Is there any "looseness"?
