Do you realize you are asking this question on a Honda Civic forum?

The reason im asking is because im saving up money because i wanna put a turbo on my si, but i have been hearing that alot of cars that put in turbos there engines are blowing up. is it true that you shouldnt add a turbo because of the vtec? or is that some made up story?

I'm still deciding if you're a troll...

and if you slap a cheap turbo on any car, of course it's going to blow up. Throw a real turbo on it with a researched and well-thought out turbo system, and have a reputable shop tune it properly, and you're not going to blow anything up.

Well the new Civic Si comes with a K20 and those engines can take a beating. I'm not sure how much for sure, but I bet those things can handle being turbo'd to 300-350WHP on stock internals.

I really like the SS, but every time i sit in one it gives me the feel of a rental car.
The Si looks and feels better then the SS, but the SS with some tuning can be one very fast car.
Car and driver give it mad pros, and the Si, but they lean more toward the SS.
If it was me, i would get the Si, better resale and a ton of parts for them.
