7500......on an si lol

 

I like to shift at around 3k RPM, if I go higher i go faster but I feel bad about pushing my engine to that extent for really no purpose. Everynow and than though Ill push my engine to the limit and shift at around 5-6k just to get a little kick out of the manual transmission.
It should be obvious though the more you over work something the more life you take out of it, so I guess it all comes down to how much money you have and how much you want to spend at the expense of performance.

 

For daily driving I shift usually at 3000-3500 if I need to accelerate at a decent speed. 2000-2500 if Im behind someone in traffic. Fortop speedI shift at 7000 rpm which is where HP peaks out at. That would be the best time to shift if youre going for speed. But I dont know your rpm and when you get the most HP so just look up specs on your car. It should say the HP and at what rpm.

Yeah, thats what the procivic garage tells me.. lol. I think it was 6100.. Or was it 6300..? Something like that .

 

never pass 3k and you'll get 40mpg
