was going to suggest carbon kevlar, as it has a slight yellow to the weive, either that of matt black, you can buy a matt film that can be cut to size for around £25 ($40, rough conversion) that way if you dont like it you can always go back without spending a fortune on a respray.

and it peels off with no effort, meaning after a few months.
personally I would paint it with either really deep contrast(very bright) or a really dark with a shade or 2 of red

LOL i have a miss matched hood. I have never gotten around to painting it. Even though I have done a motor swap, suspension, tires, and now a Vtec head, just have not cared to spend the time and money to paint. Its a nice faded black primer.

Lol thanks for fixing that for me. You know the hood really does not bother me, let them think its a beater lol. I really need to take new pics of the civic now that it has good tires and is lowered.

haha, custom faded, makes me think of transformers. you should paint it though. primer cannot fully protect your hood from that brown stuff.

Default what color hood on black car

Ok just to start out, the reason people get black hoods on other cars dates back a long time. It is used to reduce glare when racing. It is like black lines under football player’s eyes. If done right it looks cool. Now for your black car you don’t need to do anything. So if you change the color of your hood it will probably look bad. UNLESS you do like a secondary color type thing, which I really like. I’m talking like blue or green racing stripes; paint your mirrors the same color. Do some interior lights blue or green, and maybe underglow. But I’m more into the looks of cars over the speed. You don’t get tickets for looking good
