Where is the Vtec solinoid

Default Where is the Vtec solinoid

Everyone says that the vtec solinoid is behind the block. And all that i found was a cylinder part with a three bolt pattern. Is that the vtec solinoid

OK thanks guys just another question if it dosent kickin at the right rpms could it be bad?

The SOHC vtec is undetectable(assuming that's what you have), how do you know at what point it's kickin' in?
Check your oil level, that can effect kick in.
Also, I believe if your solenoid is not working, your CEL would be on.

The engine computer decides what rpm to turn the VTEC on. The engine computer will not turn the VTEC on at all if a problem exists which has caused the check engine light to be on.
