why do people call my car a vtec?

they call it a vtec. but its a 2000 honda civic with the VTEC system. anyone else have someone call their car a vtec?

They call it vtec because it has a vtec engine.

Dude, if it hurts that bad that someone calls your car vtec instead of your engine, put a non-vtec engine in it.
