Default Why no new Civic hatchback?

I have a 98 Honda Civic DX Hatchback (6th generation) and I like it very much - its style, size and feel. Compact and sporty. The 5th generation Civic hatchback also looks quite good.

The 7th generation hatchback doesn't look so nice, but it is still okay.
And now, Honda does not even make Civic hatchback anymore!
Why? Why? Why?

The Honda Fit is a nice hatchback but it is not sporty and does not have 'identity' like the 5th and 6th generation Civic Hatchback.

In fact, Honda cars nowadays look very boring and conservative. So sad.

I wonder if anybody here share my views.

so sad. yes the 7th hatchback is not so good. 5th & 6th are the best.

are you a 2-door Civic Hatchback fan?

maybe we should petition Honda to make Civic Hatchback again.

There is one... just not in the US. Probably based on bad US sales of the 7th gen hatchback. Though they are stupid if that's why... they only came in the Si, which is more expensive. Price can explain the low sales.

the euro civic is nice, but according to topgear (which is the bible of course), the older 7th gen hatch type r handled and performed better than their 8th gen, so it's still fairly disappointing.

^^ agreed i hate thos new euro ones...theyre shaped like a retarded space ship...imo the 7th gen civic hatch was the best pverall of all the gens ever made but style wise i think its between the 7th and 4th but thats just me. I love the 5th gens tho haha i love mine but i like the 4th gens better. Honda is coming out with a new "hatch" tho Ron...its the new CRZ...like the old CRX's but modern...its wayy ugly if u ask me but maybe the production model will look beter.

This is what it looks like:

This is the production CR-Z. I like the design, but hate it cause it's a hybrid.
