Well you cant get it certified, and most people look for a car thats certified when buying.

i didn't use a lot of words because i didn't think i needed them

but i mean its a 97 dx i want to get like 3,000 for maybe... so if you go to look at it possibly interested in buying it, would you use a windshieldcrack as a bargaining chip?

My dad does auto glass so i could have it replaced for less than 100 bucks, but if it's not goign to affect peoples decision then i'm not going to do it, so i'm just asking you guys as a sample audience type thing

i figured a kid wouldn't mind as much as like a 30 year old white collared worker that wants it as a daily driver

for a hundred bucks...holy crap.

mkay. here's how you assess this one:

->if the person wants to buy it for 100 bucks more (which they will) you could have it fixed.

->or, to save the effort of even negotiating with the buyer for fifty bucks give or take you could just get the thing fixed and not have the worry about it. sell it in the best shape you can get it to be for the least money spent. more buyers will pay more attention to it the better it looks.

in other words, fix it and sell it.

good luck

Its the same thing when selling a house.
The better maintained it is the more you can ask for.
So if you can get it spotless clean, smells, stains,
Also fixing little imperfections like dents can drive up the value a bit.

I am talking about 500 dollars or more for the car.
But if the car already is valued low in the Blue Book then an educated buyer wont pay much more
than estimated value of the car.
