windshield wipers
Hello,
So... I have an 07 Civic. I've recently discovered that normal wiper blades don't fit on these cars. Therefore, I bought some rainex latitudes and installed those. To my disappointment, they don't work either, even thought they curve like the factory blades. So... my question becomes, what blades on these cars?? My blades were crap when I changed them, and the new are performing like my old ones. Any thoughts?

So as of my last reply, I've learned that the factory blades tend to work better than most others. Unfortunately, when I bought 3 different sets of aftermarket blades, I threw out my factory ones. Therefore, I had to buy new factory blades (not just inserts). Still about $25 each. Next time, inserts are only $6 a piece at the dealership. Lesson learned.

Wow, that's a lot of money spent on just wiper blades! Definitely sucks. And that goes along with a lot of things, OEM Honda makes some real quality stuff. You do have to pay for it though.
And is your user name in reference to Marcy Playground? Great band, John's the man.

I probably went through three sets that day and the guys at the parts store had no idea what was going on with my car.. I think we eventually discovered the arms weren't factory length. Three girls screaming in a car when metal slaps against the glass.. not cool. Speaking of deer.. do you know if those deer alert whistle things actually work? How do you test that?!

had some on a buick. didn't see deer ever. weird. we have lots in Canada.
different car, the CRX, never saw deer, think it was my exhaust scaring them.
Different car, Civic Hatchy, factory exhaust, no whistles. drove by deer all the time, scary going 90km down the highway and suddenly there is a deer on either side of the road...

Don't feel bad. I had cows on both sides of the road last month, and in the road; and I was on the motorcycle.
I use the factory blades. They always seem to work better. One time I had a problem, but found it was something on the glass. I used some glass cleaner and it fixed it.
