Default WHICH would you buy first.... new cat converter OR stock muffler?

well my 94civics PREVIOUS owner removed the stock cat conveter and put in a test pipe.... AND he also bolted on a TURD fart cannon muffler.......
now not sure if i should replace the CAT first OR THE MUFFLER...
EITHER OR is about 100bucks..... and both should bolt right up..... ive already painted the turd muffler black and it DOES have the silencer in....

its just ANOYING exaust sound.... now dont get me wrong i like it alittle bit BUT sometimes its just TO MUCH. so i want to quite it down a bit and either one SHOULD make it alot quiter.....

The muffler is the reason for the annoying noise. Having a converter or notisn't going to affectthe sound much with a stock muffler on. Course you should put a converter on too so you're not polluting as much.

I would do the converter first. It will help with the sound plus you need to save the earth.

buy them both, then install them at the same time to get the most noticable change in tone IMO
