wow had to dig this up from the graves lol,

ok so you all know i got rear ended by a drunk driver. well i got everything fixed and back on the road. felt great to have it back on the road.

now for an update:

ive been doing some serious off roading and 4x4 and .......... ive torn some things up lol. so now work begins.

i tore my transfer case up it pops when in 4x4 and just the other day i tore my rear end up. ill pull it apart tmw and post pics. i just drove 80 miles and picked up a new rear end for the jeep. i got a great deal for 60$ now all i gotta do is find a transfer case or pull mine apart and replace broken pieces. the rear end is fubar'd i tore the gears out. it just makes grinding noises and doesnt go anywhere. and im having some electrical problems since the jeeps been under water a few times lol. so gotta track that stuff down and fix it also.

^my buddy got pissed at his gf one day and took his jimmy out and did donughts in the middle of a dirt road and litteraly melted his spider gears lol. the mechanic said that they were in the worst shape that he had ever seen in the 20 years that he has been doing mechanic work lol

lol, well all rwd vehicles look like that. that spiral gear inside the housing is a pinion gear its turned by the driveshaft. that big circle gear is called the differential gear and the small gears are called spider gears. if you take apart a civic trans it has almost the same style differential.
