You can't do a good wire tuck unless you get good at soldering, so go cut some wire and practice! Without cutting you can do simple stuff such as injector wires and moving conectors/harness' under things out of view. You can pick up engine stand fairly cheap at harbor freight. And if you got the bay painted that'd be the best time to go in while the motor is out to pull the dash and the harness to extend it. That's on my summer to-do list.

where are some good places to get a soldering iron and solder? i got a cheap iron off ebay and it either sucked or it was just me.

Uh Sear's carries good stuff that you can trust, that's where I got mine from. Just cut up pieces of wire and solder them together, last thing you want is to chop your harness for a tuck and find out your solder sucked and you electronics are gone.

That is the exact same one I have and it works really good. Good for soldering small wires, nothing overkill power wise. Gets the job done real well.

My friend bought a gsr swapped eg hatch that the previous owner had tucked. They did such a bad hack job where some electronics didn't work and they did a terrible job running it in the fender. His car is slammed, and he did a full wheel lock u turn, the tire rubbed, and the loom of wires must've been hanging because he tore right through the wires. Ended up taking it to a shop by us and having it professionaly redone.

damn that sucks...that iron is hella bigger than mine was, mine was the size of a Sharpie marker....Are the any DIY on soldering?

I like using the soldering guns better than the soldering irons.
