well i think ive been overthinking this whole thing, i dont need the male fitted flange, i just need a 2 bolt flange and a gasket to seal everything off, im dumb

stuff thats way to easy bugs me [:@]

ok ok ok, i just saw the coolest thing on our freeway run this week, a subaru wrx sti had this y pipe thing that he had a switch for, it was badass

he would be quiet when he was dd but when someone would pull next to him he would hit a switch and his ypipe would move and it would go from being a full exhaust to a straight downpipe exhaust

how freakin cool is that? thats exactly what i need, anyone know of these things?

I think pete used to have one on his turbo d and they are call cutout downpipes.

sweet thx for the website, omg why doesnt everyone do that? just a cut / weld / wire up quick easy job for like 20whp, cool

ill hvae to do it after my motor swap or i will blow the hell out of my stock y8

I'll tell you why everyone doesn't do that. Cause they rattle , leak, and all kinds of other great stuff, but don't let that turn you off, running with an open downpipe is sweet...just be sure to shut it before shutting the car off so that cold air wouldn't et in there while the engine is hot.

im buying my precision 440's as soon as i figure this out, do i need injector clips for a 99 ex? or will they fit w/out them.
