Default Engelhonda37's ls/vtec project

so im starting my ls/vtec project and so far i have a complete b18a1 block and transmission, after christmas im going to pick up my obd2 gsr head that has everything but the cams and the clamps to hold them in. After that i was going to go to the junkyard to get some other smalls things i need, bolts to mount the tranny to the block, the inspectors guard for the flywheel, and depending on what the head comes with im not sure if a b18a1 intake manifold will work on the gsr head, same with the b18a1 injectors/fuel rail.

Anyways im doing this swap into my 99 ex, i will get a camera soon to start putting up pictures. Im trying to get this swap done by February.

The VTEC intake mani's are different than the b18a/b. I plan on converting to LS/Vtec this upcoming summer hopefully. Already have the full b18b swap in the car.

so i just picked up my gsr head yesterday, its very clean looking. The guy i bought it from rebuilds gsr heads then sells them so im pretty possitive i got a great buy. He did a leak test on the valves and only one of the exhaust valves from the number 1 cylinder leaks, very small leak though. Anyways its coming together very nicely now, gonna go to the junkyard today to pick up some small things like transmission bolts. I will take some pics today and try and post them up!

And lets get some more posts up in here! im interested in other peoples opinions and what they think!

Let's see some pics!

Not sure what else to say at the moment. Once you actually get started building and tearing apart your car, I'll bet that a bunch more people will be jumping in here and commenting (especially with pics!)

We need pictures, this forum is full of pic-******. lol. And Im pretty positive that your injectors off the D motor will not work, nor will the starter if what my friend says is right. Its pretty much all series oriented.

Take the pic, connect the camera to your PC, save them to your hard drive (if you want), then go to Photobucket. Click the "upload" button and find the pictures in the little pop up box that comes up.

Once you have them in your photobucket account, you'll see a bunch of things in the bottom left corner (when you are viewing the picture) They'll be Email & IM, Direct Link, HTML Code, and IMG Code. Copy and paste the stuff in the IMG code section and put it in here.
