All I had was the stock exhaust so no it's just open header right now. I'm gonna get the exhaust done here soon in a week or so.

I haven't really heard anything K series in person. Like I said, K20's in the northwest are few and far between. I've only seen one car with a K20 swapped in it ever. People's jaw drop when they see my car lol. I don't know if everyone thinks its too hard or too expensive.

Probably just cause there aren't too many donors out in the Northwest...obviously I don't live up there but I would assume there aren't too many ricers/tuners/Honda guys out there who do crazy stuff to their cars. Not like there are in the South and Northeast I don't think...maybe that's just my schema though...

So, I get the bracket I need tomorrow for the shift cables. Need to rebleed the clutch and then see what was making a small thumping noise when I was rolling. After that, I'm taking it for a real drive!

Well more bad news. Put the new tranny in and found another problem. When I drove it I noticed a popping/clunking noise from the tranny/axle area. It happens in any gear and neutral, just not reverse. The axles and half shaft look normal when I took them back out and the noise still occurs when I put them back. If I jack the front of the car up and turn either wheel forward, the noise occurs about every two rotations of the tire. It doesnt occur when one side is out, only when both are in the tranny. Which leads me to believe it is the ring gear. I talked to the person I bought it from (works at a shop) and he said it worked perfect for him and never had a problem. I'm stumped and don't wanna have to pull this thing back out again.

I finally got the motivation to pull the swap out AGAIN. Pulled the tranny apart and found that the final drive has roughly 10 broken teeth. I bought it locally from someone I met on K20a.org. I texted him and sent pictures and he is going to try and get me a new final drive or pay me the difference. Regardless I'm gonna order one now because I'm sick of not having my car. I've been to hell and back, I don't see how I still want to drive this thing but somehow I still want this done.

Well guys, after all this time she's finally running . I got my third, yes, third transmission today and put it in tonight after work. She runs great and finally I'll get back into the swing of things. I also tucked my HID ballasts and the headlight harnesses. The engine bay is a lot cleaner looking now. Need to have an exhaust made here soon and I ordered a Karcepts throttle cable bracket.
