Default Lewy2k's EJ1 Project Thread

Due to the loss of my first project I feel its time to start a new project with the new car. I bought this one in May 2010 for $1500 roughly two years after my first civic. It has 150k miles and has the stock d16z6 motor. Power everything including a functioning and leak free sunroof. Thanks to everyone for the support through my first project as I progress through this one with no real plan, just adding some goodies here and there .

Updates are on the last page, not the first. I will keep an updated modification list on this post though.

Here is a shot of the rear sway bar. Yes, I know, the letters on the sway bar are upside down. Somehow the previous owner that never used it put the sticker on the wrong way. Believe me, I first tried to put the sway bar on the other way around and things were NOT working out. The sticker is on there realllllly good so I said screw it, I want the sway bar for function, not just how it looks.

I'm pretty sure its 170. I don't really know what is low or high but I just knew they make reliable thermostats.

I think OEM is 180, so 170 isn't too bad. The coolant temp will drop a little when moving, especially when in the winter. For the most part, it will take just a little longer for the car to warm up in the mornings, too.

The car looks good, should get a subframe brace asap though. Don't want yours to tear out!
