Scored this "mint" 91 Tegra yesterday. Fortunately, it's in poor enough shape to abuse, gut, rape, maul, etc. etc. My plans are:
1. Gut it. Seats, center console, dash and steering wheel will remain. Interior is for vaheenas.
2. Make the body presentable. Replace poopy panels, make big dents less big, pick some REALLY cheap one stage and shoot it. No rattle cans, I cant tolerate it. I have a giant shop with compressor and hvlp guns for a reason.
3. Make suspension gooder. It rides like a radio flyer, as I already mentioned. I may go so far as to seam weld the inside of the car. I do plan on acquiring a 4pt roll bar. It will stiffen the chassis, not endanger my skull in a crash, give me a place to anchor harnesses, and act as a poosy magnet.
4. Step 4 is fantasy land/irrelevant nonsense. I want a proper ***** shifter from itsproper.com, a wink mirror to sticker bomb, a mad tyte jdm towhook, a pair of reclining bride seats with takata harnesses, an omp wheel with nrg short hub and quick disconnect, some yellow lamin-x to make my headlights yellow, and a purple dog that eats pedophiles and farts rainbows. That last item is probably gonna be easier for my poor *** to acquire than the brides and takatas. What with me being a peasant and all. Damn you caste system!!! (shakes fists towards the heavens)

Thats all for today. Notice I didnt put any emphasis on power. I feel that once it is gutted, 150hp will be quite sufficient. I want this car to be... my release on a bad day. My mischief. My mountain road cruiser. Pretend touge-mobile. Function over form. This project will be long and tedious, I'm liable to give up or crash the car (or trade it), I dont care about or love the car, so it is what it is. I am so excite!

I know, heatgun, self tappers, and double-stick tape say I can use a double headed ***** as a front lip if I wanted. I suppose the real question is, has it been done?

This should be really cool. I need to start dickin around with my truck again. I just hate it so much :/

 

I cant decide on which color of two-way to use for the lip. Sparkly translucent purple, or good old fashioned jet black. Decisions decisions. Anywho, I just woke up. Gonna pull the car into the spacedock... er... carport and resume the rape session that I started yesterday. The wacky shifts I work make planning one on one car time impossible.

On a serious note... Had Dr. Brent not been so diligent in his biopsy, poor Winston the Teg might not realize he had stage 3 rectum cancer. Fortunately, Dr. Brent is going to put him on an acetylene and argon regimen. Winston the Teg should be fine in no time.
