My 2000 si build thread
need to get some stuff off my mind so i decided to make a build thread. keep in mind my car is still no where near being done lol.. anyways wish i had pics of when i first bought it but that was long ago and i dont have any so will start in 05

then in 07 i got a lil to busy with a new job and didnt do much late 07 on the other hand got lil interesting. some of you might remeber these pics beware kinda hurtful to watch lol
after a long battle with the insurance company and debating on keeping the car i decided to just build the track car of my dreams. so my built began. removed all the interior, tar and most of the wiring to send the car off to Mr. louie at Lcon

car came home and started to pull out the motor.

this past weekend i swaped my 5 lug on with the help of mr hugo2go. i sill need to finish removing a few things for paint but my paint guy still needs a month before he can take the car so it will be a lil slow from this point on. ill post new pics up soon. :bang:

so she finally found her new home for the next couple of months i took some shots of her since i was delivering all my bumpers and stuff.
and the only man i would trust with my paint job. known this cat for almost 5 years really legit dude.. cant say anything bad about him.. my homie aude :thumbup:

lil update went to san diego today to pickup a k20a2 finally dropped it off in the garage
2 part post. so i was bored on a wednesday night and decided to start parting out the motor.
getting this bitch on my engine stand was kinda tricky but got done
so thats how that night ended. then yesturday got home early from work and decided to take more **** apart and clean the trans cuz it looked like ****
this guy showed up to help out thx doggie
its a little interesting taking this apart since im used to b series. anyways thats it for now
new part came ups today
My head was at the machine shop for almost a month... bad luck i guess. on the plus side i did get my head back.. long story short the guy i bought my valvetrain off of sent me b series springs and valves.. hes in new york so shipping took forever after he sent me the correct stuff. but finally got my stuff to the machine shop and got that head back here are some pics. im running supertech valvesprings ti retainers broze valve guides seals and running blueprint racing flat valves. head got a simple valve job pressure tested and resurface.
heres the bottom end. didnt take pictures of me taking the head off but i will say that ****in crank bolt on this motor is a ****in bitch to take off... tried 3 diffrent 1/2 guns at 125 psi. and a ****in 3/4 gun... didnt take it off.. ended up using a ****in chain wrench on the pulley and a breaker bar at the bolt.. i did **** up the pulley lol.. anyways not doing **** to the bottom end just cleaning it up
picked up a rbc manifold and had my machine guy port it to 70mm. also had him port my karcepts adapter. came out pretty bitchin

also picked up new clutch and chromoly flywheel
also picked up a set of vision type mc mirrors to keep my type dc some company
thats it for now.. will be putting the motor back together some time this week. stay tuned.

Damn uve got a lot of work into this project! cant wait to see more progress mann! sucks to see a si go down like that but its gonna be one kick @$$ track car once finished mann that work u had done is legit dude haha keep up the hard work and progress!
