Default My 2000 si build thread

need to get some stuff off my mind so i decided to make a build thread. keep in mind my car is still no where near being done lol.. anyways wish i had pics of when i first bought it but that was long ago and i dont have any so will start in 05

after a long battle with the insurance company and debating on keeping the car i decided to just build the track car of my dreams. so my built began. removed all the interior, tar and most of the wiring to send the car off to Mr. louie at Lcon

this past weekend i swaped my 5 lug on with the help of mr hugo2go. i sill need to finish removing a few things for paint but my paint guy still needs a month before he can take the car so it will be a lil slow from this point on. ill post new pics up soon. :bang:

My head was at the machine shop for almost a month... bad luck i guess. on the plus side i did get my head back.. long story short the guy i bought my valvetrain off of sent me b series springs and valves.. hes in new york so shipping took forever after he sent me the correct stuff. but finally got my stuff to the machine shop and got that head back here are some pics. im running supertech valvesprings ti retainers broze valve guides seals and running blueprint racing flat valves. head got a simple valve job pressure tested and resurface.

heres the bottom end. didnt take pictures of me taking the head off but i will say that ****in crank bolt on this motor is a ****in bitch to take off... tried 3 diffrent 1/2 guns at 125 psi. and a ****in 3/4 gun... didnt take it off.. ended up using a ****in chain wrench on the pulley and a breaker bar at the bolt.. i did **** up the pulley lol.. anyways not doing **** to the bottom end just cleaning it up

picked up a rbc manifold and had my machine guy port it to 70mm. also had him port my karcepts adapter. came out pretty bitchin

Damn uve got a lot of work into this project! cant wait to see more progress mann! sucks to see a si go down like that but its gonna be one kick @$$ track car once finished mann that work u had done is legit dude haha keep up the hard work and progress!

Nice. About time a K swap went down on this forum. I still can't justify the cost to power ratio of a K swap though. Polish some of those motor parts lol.

picked up my kswap for 2600 out of a wrecked 02 type s with 42,xxx miles on the cluster. its not expensive. i sold my b16 with light mods for 1600.

I love those mirrors too btw...gonna look sick on the car when shes done and btw u just gonna repaint her the same color that she was or getting it done in a diff color?
