very nice..... but why put the valve cover on the head just to paint it? i would have just taped it up.... now you have paint on the other valve cover

ya thats my old v.c., was tryin to sell it but nobody was really interested, it needed a repaint anyways, if you flip back a few pages you'll see my nice new shiny one

ya i know ya had two. i just wouldnt have painted it any...
you should go ahead and completly paint it and then try and sell it.....
ive been holding onto my spare Vtec cover for almost a year now, i was gonna slap it on my 99ex but i already painted it black awhile ago so i kept it stock cover. and now that im selling the ex this winter i guess i wont be using mine after all..... tho i still might keep it... IMO its worth about 50bucks.... mainly because its desirable for 96-00 civics people.

Yea I would say repaint it then sell it to a 96-00 owner. I know I got my z6 cover for my y8 from addiction2bass awhile ago... lol

ya ive had a few extra.LOL when i sold my old Z6 head i sold it to the guy with my 96-00 valve cover since i was pretty much giving it away at the time wish i kept the head, then i could have slaped it in my y7 now o well.

JBWELD! I braised my brass fitting to my pan and then jb welded it just for extra insurance. Very nice buiuld.

WTF.... dont tell me your not gonna paint that oil pan also.LOL i see scratches and surface rust.......


and im just curious but why leave the lower tranny axle areas unpainted? J/W you clearly taped it up to not be painted....

ya i heard of braising, couldnt find anyone around that did it though...

ya the oil pan is stayin nasty, its probably gonna hit pavement at one point or another anyways, plus you dont really see it from above.
left them unpainted because there was just so much to mask off in those areas, that area's never really seen, and I was having a hard time cleaning all the hard to get grease pockets
