Default RE: Looky at what I got!!!!

So today I was told that I need to take the throttle cable off the integra and pull the harness out of the firewall to do the swap, is this true?I mean i figured you only needed to do something like that if you were changing from like OBD1 to OBD2. Since I am taking a OBD2 motor and putting it in an OBD2 car it should just be plug and play right? can someone please shed some light on this I need to know ASAP as I have started parting out the integra.

Also I am going to go with an aftermarket flywheel and clutch. I have a clutch picked out but now I am also wanting to know who the best brand for a flywheel might be? I am thinking Fidanza, but that leads me to my next question how light should I go with? I mean I want it rev faster but I am not wanting it to fall out of the power band every time I shift.

You'll use your stock engine harness. The Integra harness doesn't work in 96-00 civics because it's not one piece. The Civic harness runs through the firewall. You will need to add wires for the IAB (if you're using the stock GSR intake manifold).

The gsr cme with a b18 series block, from that you can do anything, lookfor the heads, rods, pistonsfrom other B series engines whether DOHC or Sohc, the blocks are different, a dual block wont take a single head, and find one that wil give the amount of compression you want, maybe some vtec too. Remember lower compression allows more boost with turbo systems. I would rebiuld the engine completely, there are plenty of articles on the bseries, plenty of parts. Integras are so sought after because you don't have to swap engines for that extra 30 hp or 50 hp, which means more money towards other things like the brake upgrade, good idea... especially since you want more hp, gotta be able to stop right...good luck
