did the mugen pedals require you to screw into the pedal itself or did it have back plates?

here's a breakdown of the install
first you must remove all of the stock rubber/plastic pads on the pedals

On the accelerator pedal, you must set the new pedal over the stock one and line up the holes. The instruction's diagrams weren't that great, and they were in japanese of course so that didn't help. The instructed holes to use on the pedal cover were incorrect and if used, would not line up correctly. I used these holds as seen in this picture (look closely for the screws)

Once lined up, use something to mark the stock pedal where the holes you'll be using line up. Take the cover back off, and drill those holes big enough for the screws to go through.

Put the cover on and put the screws through the holes you drilled. There are two small threaded backing plates, one for the top and one for the bottom. They act as nuts to hold the screws tight.

For the brake and clutch, you just remove the stock pads and then slip the covers on. There is a backing plate that goes at the top and clamps the pedal cover to the pedal.

picked up new clutch master and slave cylinders. one of mine is leaking, and if one is bad then the other isn't far behind, so i got both.

also picked up the brake fluid i'll need, and some vacuum tubing for my turbo project.
