Keep suggestions coming too! Even if we can't do it, we still might get an idea to do something similar.

Peg,

Greddy mentioned that he would try to disable the vBulletin Message. Do you guys now have the power to eliminate this annoying feature?

Darn. Would the programmer be willing to make such a change if asked?

what about different hacks? theres alot of free vb hacks you can add on, i think reputation would be a good one.. they have **** like you get money for every thumbs up post and with that money, you can change your user title, change the color, and stuff like that... i think it would be worth a shot, more ppl would post useful info because they wnna get the points.

Here's the original thread that I made describing the problem:

Other Civic forums I frequent have disabled this function because it is annoying. It would be a similar improvement for HCF.

Ron, I happen to be in the software business and one of the worst problems to deal with is users clicking crap more than once. Sure, this can be prevented in code, but it's a pain in the *** and most people don't bother. I've seen people lose millions of dollars due to being impatient with clicking buttons. It's easier to change your habit of doing it...and it will be more beneficial to you. You pay bills online, right? You know what happens if you double click in some systems and you don't notice it? You get charged twice...

agreed with everything you just said.. but the main reason why you cant click the search button twice is probably because they dont want to overload the server.. im sure IB has a rather large server so i dont think a double click will effect anything..
