I was thinking that it might be a good idea to allow users with post counts under 25 to post in the WTB section... it still helps active members because we can reply to those threads with our items for sale. Over the past months I have noticed a few threads where there are new members asking in other threads about things for sale, and I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed to post in the WTB section.

 

very true because they can't rip somebody off because they'd have to send payment first

 

Trust, that is a good way of thinking. But, I feel that there may be one flaw. What happens when someone like me, you, or kanarrjl makes a WTB thread, and the new member is able to post in it saying they have that particular part, then scams us and leaves the site before getting a post count higher than 2?

Good point. I wasn't thinking about the potential scammers as being a good reason to have the classifieds limited, I was thinking the only reason was so that people don't come here and spam up our FS section without contributing to the forum (i.e. using our forum purely for advertising)
