Default **Installed** V2 on an '02 EX w/pics

So my AEM V2 came today. Sweeet!! I jumped right into my first ever upgrade. I was going to post a DIY but after reading the included instructions, I realized how easy it was to put in. Like I said this was my first install. It only took me about an hour. The whole process includes removing a few bolts, a breather hose, a sensor. Then the V2 basically hooks up to the throttle body, tighten a few clamps and your done!!

** I must say that this intake is REALLY nice. As far as performance goes, I can't feel much (yet). I figure once the Magnaflow exhaust and DC header is on there, the whole package will bring about some power. But at least for now, the sound is AWESOME!!! What a huge difference. I was really surprised. When you first start you car and its still cold, you can hear this thing hissing from 50ft away. While driving in low RPM this intake purrs and growls like an African lion!!! Open it up and you can really here it roar!! I love it and can't wait for the next project piece.....

** A couple of minor things I noticed---The sensor fits a little loose in the V2 and the wire is JUST barely long enough to reach. I suggest using some tape or a zip-tie to keep it secure. Also, the supplied 1" clamps were a pain in the ***, so I used the original clamps instead. Enjoy the pics : )

You could splice the wiring to make it longer.

Yeah, I actually had to cut a facotry zip-tie to get the wire over far enough. I had to cut a little tape off too. Not a big deal.....

Well it is what it is.....there really isn't any more room for this thing to move. The filter is HUGE and takes up all the room. It's actually right up against the battery. If the filter was small then it may be able to dip a bit lower, but like I said its BIG hahaha. As far as video and sound go....I'm working it. I'm gonna get some up soon.....

i mpretty sure that the V2 acts as a SRI for all the civics with top mount TB IMs. sidemounts act like a CAI. i could be wrong tho.
