Default 01 civic lx

Was thinking about upgradin my 01 civic lx (AT) wanted to know what you guys think since i have no clue about anything..

I was looking to go I/H/E route, but i could not find any headers for my lx.. sorry if this is a dumb question, but do they make headers for my car?

Intake: Injen Intake IS1565
Exhaust: Magnaflow Exhaust 15712

If you guys have any recommendations for me I appreciate them as I dont know much about cars.
Thanks.

injen and magnaflow make great stuff. i have a 05 lx a/t and my current upgrades are aem v2 intake and a magnaflow muffler. i don't think the exhaust you listed will "bolt on" without you purchasing other parts (hi flow catalytic converter, o2 simulator or extender, header for a EX). IMO, IMO, IMO, headers aren't worth the money, as they add very little power. if you want sound, a muffler (on stock piping) will suffice; just get a good brand.

the only way you could get an exhaust put on is if you convert your entire system to a EX exhaust, but that is quite costly.

so much do you think it could cost to get all of those parts to convert my system to an EX exhaust? (minus the catalytic converter because that is free with exhaust :])

I really dont want sound, just performance, so i would rather just save up the money and do a full conversion if that is necessary.. I really dislike the sound of an added mufler with stock piping.

All it will cost you is the header and cost of putting the new cat on. Plus the exhaust and intake. So say $1200ish.

The magnaflow cat-back (I think it 's the one listed above) I got for my 01 came with an extension pipe for LX/DX owners to reach the cat under the header.

I' think that you could get the magnaflow ($350 on ebay, from exhuastman), a megan EX header ($135 on streetstyler) and have a shop weld the the cat after the downpipe. That's only about $500 in parts. As far as I know (I'm not 100%) You can use the stock cat just fine. It may restrict flow, but quite honestly, you're not going to see huge gains form exhuast anyway. If you're set on the cat, Megan also has one for $75 on street styler (never heard of anyone using them though.) W/O the cat, I'm thinking a total price would be around $700-$800.
