I've got 2.25" mandrel bentcustom catback on my n/a d16y7 and i noticed some pretty good top end gains, and it sounds really nice too.

2.5"-3" exhausts are mainly used on turbo apps

your going to want to use 2.5, or 2.25 is even better. your going to lose low-end power if you get into to big of piping.

Personally I would go with 2.5 to leave room for expansion for later mods. 2.5 and even 3 inch have been used effectively on Honda N/A applications, just fyi. 2.5 is actually pretty common even for mild mods, especially for top end gains, while 3" is for maxing the thing out completely.

True story. I ran a 2.5" cat-back on my car while running N/A and it was fine. I knew that I was going to boost it so I left that door open
