RE: 2.5 inch exhaust?????
I would agree too that 2.5" is perfect size especially if you are planning to build that n/a engine. There aren't that many companies that make a 2.5" cat-back. The only two companies that I know are TSS Motorsports & T1R. A lot of good reviews about those two companies from the people that has them around here.

im so damn proud of you guys. how many civic, or import, hell, car in general, forums would the question be "is this exhaust too big", instead of the more common/grossly mislead, "is this exhaust too small"

RE: 2.5 inch exhaust?????
if ur gunna work on the engine i'd do that first, cuz the size of yer exhaust all depends on the engine. non forced injection engine's exhaust should look like this on a civic
D15b, Zc: 2.0" should be fine
B16(a1,a2), B18(b1,b2): 2.25"
anything more powerful: 2.5"
If yer gunna turbocharge it or use nitrous oxide ur gunna want a 2.5 no matter what size the engine is. yer prolly not gunna need anything higher than that cuz if the exhaust is moving at a sluggish rate it will actually DECRECE your power at the wheel.

ive got 3' on my b18c1 but its fully built. but for the 2.5, it will take some low and away but will add more top end. the 2.25 will still take away bottom end but will choke the t/e sooner than 2.5, **** it get the 2.5
