2-piece vs 1-piece headers
Does anyone know if there is a difference in power between the solid header and the 2-piece? I'm sure there is a reason for cutting the header in half i just can't figure it out.
which is better 1-piece or 2?

RE: 2-piece vs 1-piece headers
Personally, I believe for my application, the one-piece was easier to install. The less pieces the the better as far as I am concerned.
The other thing is that 2-piece are usually 4-2-1 and one piece are generally 4-1. Not always but, in those cases the 4-1 is usually better for top end and track use and the 4-2-1 are widely accepted as better for the street, but we are only talking 1 or 2 Hp in any rpm range.

2 peices are easier to install...but really not that much easier if you have someone helping you. if i was going NA id rather get a 1 peice simply because with less peices theres less to go wrong.

RE: 2-piece vs 1-piece headers
In my book, less parts means less things to lose/go wrong/break/install. And its just as easy to install a one piece as a two.
I think the reason they would come in two piece would be to make it easier to put together. Theres no difference in power, so I cannot think of anything besides trying to make it a little easier.

a knoledgable friend of mine told me that 4-2-1 and 4-1 depends on whether u want better top end or better mid end speed...i forgot which one is for which but a little google reseace will do the trick
