Default 4-2-1 vs 4-1 Header

Quick question,

What is the difference, if any, between a 4-2-1 header and a 4-1 header... Also what is the difference between 1 piece and 2 piece?

Thanks.

4-2-1 provides more low end and 4-1 is more high end.

i don't think there's a difference between one piece and two. that's just how a particular company decided to fabricate their header

there is a difference (sometimes) between one piecers and two piecer headers.

one piecers sometimes have longer downtubes from the engine block which often scrape on lower riding cars.

two pieceres headers often conform to the lower engine block better for more ground clearance.

you also need to consider if the header will work with your OEM air conditioner unit.

1 peice headers have longer primaries that promote better mid range tq along with what Donnie said also ground clearence may become a issue. To tell the truth though the amount of hp you actually get with your average name brand header is not enough to sacrifice ground clearence IMO so I suggest a hp racing 4-2-1 2 peice design for your average bolt on type mods
