Default 7th gen Y8 manifold swap UPDATE

Ok guys I solved my irradict idle problem (see Finally Got her started!!!... Off Topic) was a problem with a gasket, got a little too scissor happy while trimming it to fit the TB. Still having issues with the IACV, so I went back to the drawing board and decided I'm gonna try 1 more IACV from a 5th or 6th gen if that falls through I've already started working on fabbing the OEM sensor to work on the S2 manifold --> yeah I know it's originally on the TB... not any more. Here's my idea, I have these mounts I had made for the IACV and manifold, I'm gonna do a lil cutting and reshaping, drill the holes out to 1/2" [have 1/2" steel pipe I'm gonna have bent into a shape that will allow the IACV to sit right below the manifold] weld the pipe onto the mounts and weld one of the mounts on the piece I cut off the TB. Hoping to have this done within a week or two, gotta call my welder and see what his schedule is like. I'll have pics up ASAP. I know some of your 7th geners want to do this swap, but I'm not gonna give you incomplete directions... you can always get started on your own . The IACV appears to be the only issue I have left to solve before I can do a write up.

Also, throwing a code P1129 - MAP sensor circuit voltage higher than expected... could that be from extending the wires to make the sensor fit in it's new spot?

i told you it was a gasket problem

i dont think that enlongating the wires would cause a higher voltage...is that the only mod you did to the MAP sensor?

yeah the wires on the MAP was extended to fit in the TB, had to drill out the TB hole a bit and put a couple washers before the o-ring on the MAP to ensure it stayed put. Nothing else was done (except for dropping it once or twice) but if it was completely busted it'd throw a different code. right?

i dont know dropping it could have caused a short circuit which could potentially trip that code. but other than that i dont know what could have caused it.

We'll I'll be at the junkyard tomorrow hopefully I can find a 7th gen and I'll grab another MAP sensor, see if that works.
