The catalytic converter is important for reducing air pollutants, so I don't recommend removing it. But if you are set on this idea, I believe that you can replace the secondary O2 sensor with what is called an O2 sensor simulator.

probably to put a header on it... since the dx cat is built into the header. i want to remove mine BUT i want to convert it to a EX cat so i can run a nice header.

it sure looks awhole lot better!

yeah you just remove the whole exhaust manifold, get a test pipe or an EX cat, and the exhaust will bolt up. If you get the cat, get an o2 sensor extension from passwordJDM.com, or if you get the test pipe get an o2 simulator from eBay.

I would recommend getting the cat though. Bad for the enviroment, raspy, bad smelling exhaust, white/gray exhaust gas, etc.....

o ok, thought you guys where trying to get more hp without the cat. I would definitly convert to the ex cat because you would be hurting the enviroment and breaking the law lol. GL with getting it all on.
